Google Business Profile setup

A one-off pack for pubs, cafes and bed and breakfasts in the UK. We set the profile up with you, or tidy one that already exists, and leave you with the words and the replies written down.

What is included

Every price below includes all of the following. Nothing in this list is held back for a higher price.

Profile setup and verification help

We create the profile, or claim one that is unclaimed, on a Google account that belongs to the business. If a profile is already verified, we work on that one instead of starting again.

Google chooses how verification works. It may be a postcard, a phone call, an email, a video, or another method, and it may change. We stay with you through the steps Google offers. We cannot change Google’s decision, and we cannot promise how long Google will take.

Categories

A primary category, and any extra categories that fit the way the business actually trades. We write down why each one was chosen, in plain language, before or as they are set.

Services or menu

For a pub or a cafe, the dishes and drinks you want shown. For a bed and breakfast, the rooms and breakfast. At £249 we enter wording you already have. At £299 and £349 we draft that wording first, from notes you send, and you approve it before it is published.

10 photos guidance

A written list of ten photographs worth adding: the front, the room or the garden, a dish, the bar, the breakfast table, and so on, chosen for your sort of business. Notes on light, and on what is better left off the profile. We do not take the photographs, and we do not supply stock pictures.

First 4 posts written

Four short posts, ready for you to publish, in the same plain voice as the rest of the profile. They might cover hours, a dish, a room, or a quiet week. During setup, if we still have access and you want them up, we can publish them. After handover they are yours to post.

Review-reply templates

A small set of replies you can adapt. You send them. We do not watch the profile for new reviews after handover, except at the check-in below. These are examples of the sort of line we write. They are not replies to real reviews.

Thank you for coming in. We hope to see you again when you are next this way.

We are sorry the evening fell short. Please telephone the pub and ask for whoever is on, so we can hear what happened and put it right.

Thank you for saying so. If you have a moment, tell us which room you stayed in. It helps us know what to keep as it is.

A 30-day check-in

About thirty days after the profile is verified, or thirty days after we finish if it was already verified, we look at it with you once. Anything Google has flagged, any gap in the menu or the rooms, and whether the four posts are up. One conversation, by email or by phone, as you prefer. It is part of the price. It is not a retainer, and nothing renews after it.

Prices

The same pack, three ways. The difference is how much drafting is included, and whether there is a second profile or a list of rooms.

Full refund if you cancel before we start work. After work starts, we refund the price minus the work already done. This is on top of your legal rights.

Wording you already have

You have a Google account the business controls, and a menu or a list of services you are content with. We enter them, set the profile up, write the four posts from notes you send, and do everything else in the list above.

Questions

What do you need from the business before starting?

A Google account that the business controls. The name and address you want shown, the opening hours, a telephone number you are willing to publish, and either a menu or a list of what you offer. Photographs, if you already have them. We do not want a password sent by email. Access is agreed when the work is agreed.

How does verification work?

Google decides the method and the timing. We help you complete whatever Google asks for, short of anything that would mean pretending to be the business if you are not. If Google refuses verification, we say so, and we do not invent a workaround.

Will this put the business at the top of Google?

No. A complete profile is easier for people to trust and to contact. It is not a purchase of a ranking. We will not tell you otherwise.

Who answers the reviews?

You do. The pack includes templates you can adapt, and we can talk them through at the 30-day check-in. We do not stay logged in to reply on your behalf after handover.

Is there a monthly fee?

No. You pay the price of the pack you choose. The 30-day check-in is included. After that, nothing continues unless you ask for more work and we agree it separately.

Do you visit the premises?

No. The work is done from the notes, the menu and the photographs you send, and from the profile itself. The photo guidance is written, not a site visit.

Are the pub, the cafe and the bed and breakfast on this website real?

No. The Anchor & Oar, Driftwood Kitchen and Saltmarsh House are demonstrations. The village is fictional. Their telephone numbers do not connect. This setup page is the Bay Admin offer. Those three pages are not.
